Pet Microchipping

Cotswold Animal Hospital provides microchipping for pets. This system greatly increases the chances of being reunited with a lost dog or cat by essentially providing a way for your contact information to be carried around by your pet at all times in a tiny capsule that is embedded underneath the skin. This way, even if a collar or identification tags are pulled off, there is still a way for a rescue shelter or veterinary office to identify and contact you.

The procedure is quick and relatively painless. Once implanted, we will assist you in the registration process which is crucial to the utility of the microchip. In addition, we check the integrity and functionality of the microchip with one of our scanners at least once annually.
