Cotswold Animal Hospital’s preventative health care program for dogs offers an annual wellness screening administered by our knowledgeable veterinarians and regular vaccinations against contagious diseases. Based on factors that include your dog’s breed, physical condition, lifestyle, and previous immunization history, we form a treatment plan that caters to your pet’s individual needs.

To establish a complete profile of your dog’s health, the annual examination will include a physical, blood and urine tests, internal and external parasite screenings, immunizations, and a dietary assessment. We monitor your animal's weight so that we can recommend modifications in diet or exercise if needed. During the annual wellness exam, we may discuss weight management guidelines with you. A healthy body weight is important for your dog or cat to have a long and healthy life.

On the day of the appointment, we ask that you bring in a copy of your dog’s previous records, if this is your first visit with us, as well as a stool sample (ideally less than twelve hours old), and your dog on a leash or in a carrier.
